MISSION STATEMENT

The Warwick Community Kindergarten strives to provide a happy, safe and inclusive environment where all children learn through play. In a natural environment with flexible programmes and engaging experiences, children are encouraged and supported to explore, take risks, accept challenges, learn and grow. We respect, accept and support families, acknowledging culture and diversity and working together to best provide for children in our community.

KINDY ENVIRONMENT

The Kindy is equipped to provide spacious and challenging indoor and outdoor activities. The natural surroundings include a large playground with plenty of grass to run, sand, rocks and mud for children to play in and shaded areas for quite play. Across the two units we have large covered sandpits, various climbing fort structures, swing areas, digging patches, bike tracks and woodlands. The staff encourage the children to discover the natural environment and visiting wildlife.

We also have our own veggie gardens, worm farm,  chickens and even do our own compositing, as caring for the natural environment and sustainability are core elements of the Kindy’s program. Parents, children and staff have undertaken a variety of projects to enhance gardens, play spaces and develop WCKindy Sustainable practices.

Our indoor spaces are well equipped with resources continually being purchased for the benefit of our Kindy children.

All facilities are maintained to meet a high standard of safety.
